Prayer is not a contractual exchange where human effort unlocks divine response. It is the culmination of the will of God, the wisdom of God, and the power of God made manifest through man on earth.

This teaching works through a precise definition of prayer, grounding it entirely in the persons of Christ and the Holy Spirit. The argument is that the Holy Spirit is the Zeal of God who knows and carries the will of God, while Christ is both the wisdom and power of God. Prayer, then, is not a discipline you master. It is the absolute essence of those two persons expressed through a son who knows he is loved. Two reasons are named for why prayers are answered: God's love for his people, and a son standing in the full knowledge of his identity in that love. The kingdom is also addressed directly, drawing from Romans 14 and Matthew 12:28, locating kingdom not as a future political category but as the present product of the Holy Spirit in you, which is righteousness, peace, and joy.
