Hello and welcome to the podcast, my name is Nicole. You are listening to Pray the Word. In this season of Pray the Word we will be using a resource called Praying God's Word Over Your City; 40 Days of Prayer Toward a Transformed Community by Trey and Mary Anne Kent, an excellent resource that has more within each "day" than what we share here, and we highly recommend it for those of you called to be watchmen. You can find and purchase their resource here on ⁠prayershop.org⁠

This podcast will be set up so that you can prayer walk with it, using the prompts for more extended and "onsite with insight" prayers. As always, let us know you are praying and the name of your town so we can join you and pray in agreement. At the end of each episode there will be Prayer Points for you to listen and pray through. Be free to pause the podcast at anytime to pray out what Holy Spirit is prompting. 

Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. Romans 10:1

Prayer Points:

Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you happenings, activities and attitudes in your city that break His heart. Ask God to give you His compassion for people who are affected by the sin and lostness of your community.

Ask Jesus to show you where you have been apathetic and negligent in praying for and witnessing to the lost in your community. Repent of specific areas and situations where you have chosen to ignore the call to share Him with others.

Submit your heart and mind to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to give you a list of people for whom you will pray and with whom you will share.

Take the list you have made and commit to pray for them daily and to look for opportunities to share the love of God with them.

Break my heart for what breaks Yours; everything I am for Your Kingdom's cause
