Intercession – Jesus taught us to pray for each other, not only for ourselves. It’s not just “MY Father in heaven,” but “OUR Father.” It’s not, “Give ME today MY daily bread,” but “Give US today OUR daily bread.” Prayer involves intercession on behalf of others. “Lead US not into temptation, but deliver US from evil.” We ask God for guidance and protection–for ourselves–and for the rest of the world.
