Prayer, so Easy, so Powerful

1.Makes Things Happen that are Beyond our Control

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5:13-16 NIV)

Stops Us from Worrying

Communication with God

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 NIV)

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 祈り: 簡単なのに、力強い

1.僕たちの力量をこえたものを起こさせる。

あなたがたの中に、苦しんでいる者があるか。その人は、祈るがよい。喜んでいる者があるか。その人は、さんびするがよい。 あなたがたの中に、病んでいる者があるか。その人は、教会の長老たちを招き、主の御名によって、オリブ油を注いで祈ってもらうがよい。 信仰による祈は、病んでいる人を救い、そして、主はその人を立ちあがらせて下さる。かつ、その人が罪を犯していたなら、それもゆるされる。 だから、互に罪を告白し合い、また、いやされるようにお互のために祈りなさい。義人の祈は、大いに力があり、効果のあるものである。 (ヤコブの手紙 5:13-16 JA1955)

2. 心配がやむ。

何事も思い煩ってはならない。ただ、事ごとに、感謝をもって祈と願いとをささげ、あなたがたの求めるところを神に申し上げるがよい。 そうすれば、人知ではとうてい測り知ることのできない神の平安が、あなたがたの心と思いとを、キリスト・イエスにあって守るであろう。 (ピリピ人への手紙 4:6-7 JA1955)

3.祈りは神様とのコミュニケーション

また祈る時には、偽善者たちのようにするな。彼らは人に見せようとして、会堂や大通りのつじに立って祈ることを好む。よく言っておくが、彼らはその報いを受けてしまっている。 あなたは祈る時、自分のへやにはいり、戸を閉じて、隠れた所においでになるあなたの父に祈りなさい。すると、隠れた事を見ておられるあなたの父は、報いてくださるであろう。 また、祈る場合、異邦人のように、くどくどと祈るな。彼らは言葉かずが多ければ、聞きいれられるものと思っている。 だから、彼らのまねをするな。あなたがたの父なる神は、求めない先から、あなたがたに必要なものはご存じなのである。 だから、あなたがたはこう祈りなさい、天にいますわれらの父よ、御名があがめられますように。 御国がきますように。みこころが天に行われるとおり、地にも行われますように。 わたしたちの日ごとの食物を、きょうもお与えください。 わたしたちに負債のある者をゆるしましたように、わたしたちの負債をもおゆるしください。 わたしたちを試みに会わせないで、悪しき者からお救いください。 (マタイによる福音書 6:5-13 JA1955)
