Everyone desires comfort! We want rest and security no matter the issue. From the pages of Scripture, we are told that God is our comforter, refuge, and strength. When we come to the prayer Jesus prays in John 17:10-16, we see Him praying for God's protection over His people. This prayer not only informs us on what to pray for, it allows us to see into the heart of Jesus and treasure the truths He communicates to the Father.
