No matter how often the people around Jesus rejected Him, He kept pouring out His life for His people. Jesus was and is the perfect intercessor. He never gives up on us, and we should follow His example when we are praying for loved ones who have not yet come to faith in Jesus by never giving up on them.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 says to “pray without ceasing”. Without ceasing means to never stop. Consider right now who, in your life, does not yet know Jesus. Is it your son or daughter? A coworker? A parent? A close friend? Whoever it is, I urge you to be steadfast in prayer. Look for opportunities to share about God’s love, mercy, and grace.
For many years, our son, Andrew, was not walking with the Lord. While it was discouraging, my wife and I continued to Pray. We prayed all the time, and we focused on building a relationship with Andrew. We were consistent in our efforts to share the Good News, and guess what? It worked. Andrew’s heart was changed many years ago when he agreed to attend an evangelistic festival we had in Jamaica. He received Jesus into his heart, and now he is an evangelist sharing the Good News with others, and leading thousands to Jesus Christ.
Do not give up on praying for people in your life to know Christ. This is Luis Palau.
