But, as believers we know “…that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-38, NIV). Last week I had the privilege of attending a Training of Trainers on "Multiplying Churches and Communities". The key takeaway from the training was God is love and the heart of the Father is for everyone to be saved. As is written in the Scriptures, “Salvation is found in no one else other than Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who was crucified but whom God raised from the dead, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Again, in Matthew 24:14, “and this gospel [of the kingdom] will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” In this 32nd Episode of Praying Without Ceasing, host Kenneth Odero recounts God’s promises for salvation to the nations. May the Lord’s promise be fulfilled in our time so that we can meet Him face to face, without fear or being ashamed, when He returns.

If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. God’s favour has already been bestowed on us through Christ. For when you are inspired, exalted, and anointed by the Most High, we can say with David “If my house were not right with God, surely He would not have made with me an everlasting covenant, arranged and secured in every part; surely He would not bring to fruition my salvation and grant me my every desire” (2 Samuel 23:5).

In this 27th Episode of Praying Without Ceasing, host Kenneth Odero reflects on God's promise to draw near to us, if we draw near to Him (James 4:8). Has He not said “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. As the Grace Worship songs says, as we draw near to God, “may Christ be all, and [I] we be nothing; His glory shines in the vessels weak”; Let this be yours and my hope and prayer, that “not I, but Christ in me,” amen.

What are the benefits of God being with us? If God says He will be with us, He is sure to show up. God’s promise to be with us, like His blessing, brings [true] riches, and He adds no sorrow to it. No matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so, through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.
