My team and I would like to give a special thanks to the nearly 150 real estate agents representing over 30 different brokerages in the South Florida area for joining us at our first Behind the Curtain series discussing the appraisal process – and a special shout out to Andy Lazev from Nationwide Property & Appraisal Services for flying from Philadelphia to help us in supporting YOU get your next deal.
For those of you who were unable to make it, there will be more events to come that we look forward to seeing you at. In the interim, we have outlined a number of new shots and blogs covering some of the valuable inside perspective Andy shared with us on how to best prepare for your next transaction.
One key takeaway we got from this presentation was the emphasis for preparation before the appraiser visits the home. Andy shared with us how having a list of the homes upgrades and special features can go a long way in securing the best-appraised value for the property. Preparing an itemized list up front to provide the appraiser on arrival will lay the groundwork for them to understand all the things that make the home unique when considering the valuation of the property.
