David Leisner is an accomplished concert Classical Guitarist, Composer, and teacher. He helped bring the music of J.K. Mertz and W. Matiegka back to the fore with his groundbreaking recordings. In this episode, we discuss his program for the upcoming Concerts for the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society in Newtown (Zlock Performing Arts Center) and Philadelphia on January 31st and February 1st 2026, respectively. We also discuss some of our favorite non-guitar artists, like Jonathan Biss (Piano) and Yannick Nézet-Séguin, conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
