You can find the readings by Thomas Ice and Dr. Stitzinger below for more details and references on the history behind the pre-tribulation rapture. Common arguments that I hear when I discuss the rapture are: 1) Darby came up with that idea in the 1800s; 2) Some girl had a vision about it - it isn't scriptural; and 3) the word rapture isn't even in the Bible! Hopefully the content I provide today will give you some solid answers you can use as a rebuttal to those statements in the future.
The pre-tribulation rapture historical documentation is rich and spans from today all the way back to Jesus. There are some sparse points, particularly in the Middle Ages, but the reason behind that sparsity is due to the oppressive behaviour of the Catholic church. Jesus is coming soon! Are you prepared to meet Him?
