Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced a senior Army officer will be Queensland's flood recovery coordinator.

Major General Jake Ellwood has told Scott Emerson on 4BC Drive that his background in coordinating the response for the Black Summer bushfires will be helpful in the recovery from the flood's destruction.
