South African duo Logo Alloy & Zam T bring spiritual depths to new EP for Vibe Me To The Moon. This duo hooked up back in 2021, and since then, they have been helping to shape the contemporary deep house underground in SA. Their mission to craft timeless sounds steeped in real emotion has taken them to labels like Harley & Muscle's Soulstar Records and Little Angel, as well as the likes of Open Bar Music. The richness of their sound designs and always infectious grooves have seen them climb high in charts, and this latest EP on Nightsteppaz NYC label is another big step up.
Opener 'Care For Me' is a deep house gem built on a groove with a subtle skip and enveloped with warm, diffuse chords that call to mind greats of the genre like Terrence Parker and Louie Vega. Silky, soulful vocals glide up top with a sense of intimacy and vulnerability that blends dancefloor energy with tender melodic textures. The superb 'Goin Nowhere' cruises on low-slung drums and louche claps that lay the foundations of a dreamy late-night vibe. Starry-eyed chords shimmer through the mix, while jazzy keys add a playful charm to a velvet-wrapped soundscape that’s equal parts house and lounge.
