Dead Trax proudly presents solla’s debut EP “nthat” (DDTX002): two club-ready tracks set at 135 BPM showcasing a unique sound based around intricate percussive work, granulated textures and omnipresent sub bass, always paying tribute to the dub influence which permeates the UK sound.

Born in Bristol, ‘solla’ grew up immersed in diverse musical influences. Driven by a passion for sound exploration, he ventured into the world of synthesis and modular synthesizers, and has now progressed to programming VST plugins for his professional endeavours. With a vinyl release under his original alias SØL on the Karbanik Sound label, as well as several collaborative records with Harrta as Sabasonik, his work has appeared on labels such as Earth & Stone, Outhouse Sounds, and 786 Recordings. After moving to Montreal (Canada) and finding inspiration in the city's dynamic underground music scene, he continues to evolve his sound under the new ‘solla’ alias, all whilst retaining the distinctive influences from his Bristol roots.
