The urgency that Naomi and Ruth sense at the end of the barley harvest create the moment of urgency at the threshing floor encounter with Boaz. But Naomi will not let Ruth encounter Boaz as she is, there is a preparation process.

Ruth comes to the threshing floor with intentional preparation, risky faith, and optimistic expectation. When we embrace repentance, faith, and knowledge of the goodness of God we create the context for encounter with our Redeemer.
