How are we to prepare to make progress in the Christian life- Joshua teaches the children of Israel and every believer that before we go forward, we must first -Look Back- with regular thankfulness to the Lord. Then and only then can we -Look Forward-, confident in God's power. We are to seek to pursue personal holiness and always have a genuine fear and reverence for God.
