There's something about the valley that makes you look up for directions. Preparation in the valley is not the easiest thing to handle; having the courage to look up and see that I am not alone is vital, even in the valley. David said, My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2). In other words, my direction from this place comes from God. While I'm in the valley, in preparation, God's giving me direction, and when I get the specs of where he wants me to go, he will take me through this valley, and his goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.

Look up when you're in preparation, don't look down, don't become depressed, discouraged, and suppressed, look up, there's better when you look up. You can choose to look down and become bitter, but when you look up, you see better and become better. When the time is right, his timing better will come out of the valley, and when I get to the mountaintop, I'll be able to handle it because of the time I spent in the valley of preparation. Today, walk through the valley of preparation and get your direction for the next season of your life. He's got better ahead, and it's coming for you; believe it and walk in it.
