In this episode, I have a conversation with an inventory professional. I invited Debra Palmer of Palmer Home and Business Inventory Professionals to be a guest to help educate and share information about the importance of documenting all of your personal and business property. Documentation is not fun, but having an inventory of your property WILL make your experience easier, manageable and defend-able should you ever need to provide it to an insurance company or attorney.
As a Certified Inventory Specialist™ and a Certified Appraisal Examiner through the National Inventory Certification Association (NICA), Debra has been a business services entrepreneur in the Tampa Bay Area FL since 1988.
Through exhaustive research and direct communications with individuals who had experienced loss and endured the sometimes difficult claims process of their insurance companies without up to date documentation to substantiate equitable settlements, Debra realized the need for inventory professionals in her community. She has spent many, many hours learning the business and implementing systems to create a virtually effortless experience to assist homeowners, renters and businesses in having a complete, accurate record of assets. Debra's business and accounting background provides her clients with a keen understanding of the financial aspects of having third party documentation of personal and business property.
In addition to operating her business, Debra is also VERY active in the community with a long list of roles serving her community including long standing membership and leadership roles for the local chambers of commerce and volunteering with many charitable organizations throughout the year.
You can learn more about Debra's awesomeness and how to connect with her in the show notes, including her journey to receive a kidney transplant which Debra mentions during our conversation. BUT I would strongly urge you to PLEASE visit her Facebook page dedicated to her transplant journey – affectionately named Debra's Kidney Transplant Journey.
