Carnival can be an overwhelming experience to plan. In this episode I’m speaking with Shermica Farquhar, founder of  Soka Tribe, to discuss Carnival’s cultural impact on her a Brooklyn native, starting Soka Tribe in Washington DC and preparing mentally and physically for the main event! Soka Tribe holds classes, event performances and hosts revelers on a trip to Trinidad Carnival.
