In the readings today we hear that John the Baptist came to prepare the way of the Lord and proclaim what is known as “the day of the Lord.” For each one of us, will this be a day of fear or of joy? Let us reflect with Fr. James as he explains the meaning of the “the day of the Lord” based on the Old Testament. Let us pray for God’s grace to withstand that day (Lk 21:36).
