How do we go about understanding the world around us?  The scientific method is highly regarded as the most appropriate method to answer important questions of our time, including the ongoing research efforts into emergency preparedness.  Today I discuss the process followed in research, using my own as an example.  A lighthearted look at evidence, facts, questions.  Defining the problem to understanding what a fact is.  Fun for research nerds.
