OPSEC, should everyone know that you are into preparedness and therefore probably have some Gucci kit in the basement and tons of food when the shizzy hits the fizzy?  The reality is that most don't care and those that do likely don't live that close to you.  So in reality it is not a huge issue, but one that cannot be ignored.  
Do you advertise?  Do you tell everyone?  Think and adopt the grey man identity.  Your house, truck, habits, pattern of life and everything you do should speak to the fact that you are a normal person in society and not a threat or of any interest whatsoever.  Thats how you navigate daily life.  But what about family who might come, or close friends from work?  Plan, you need to consider what you are going to do when this happens and then make the necessary preparations.  What if you want to spread the message at work, or find like minded people?  Listen, we have some great ideas.
