Last week government bond holders went on a bit of a selling spree. Was it because they saw a bright future and could spend the more on riskier pursuits, like the share market? Or was it because they thought inflation would kick in devaluing the bonds they were holding? Berenger’s Kallum Pickering says it’s a bit of both, but markets are trading as though the economy will bounce back in spring and summer. The sunny uplands.
