1 Peter 2:18-25
1 Peter 3:13-17
1 Peter 4:1-2
If we’re not living for human desires and letting our fleshly desires control us, we will be living contrary to this world’s system. Therefore we will be disliked and treated badly.
1 Peter 4:12-19
With increase of lawlessness, living righteously will result in persecution
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and shrewd in their own sight!" (Isaiah 5:20)
“Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has stumbled in the public squares, and uprightness cannot enter. Truth is lacking and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey” (Isaiah 59:14-15b).
Our brothers and sisters have been enduring suffering for Christ for around the world.
