Dramatic results in key democratic primaries in New York And in Florida there's a new challenger for the Republican governor. President Biden will likely announce a plan to forgive up to $10,000 dollars in student loan debt for millions of Americans. Student loan payments will also be deferred until January. Government figures show about 300,000 teachers have left the education workforce since February 2020, when the covid pandemic began. States like Mississippi, Florida, and Nevada have been hit especially hard by the teacher shortages. For the first time, a Louisville police officer has been found criminally responsible in the killing of Breonna Taylor. Two men have been convicted for their role in conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020. President Biden announced the U.S. will send nearly $3 billion dollars in new military aid to Ukraine.
