Prescription for Disaster: Montana’s Chiropractic Board Puts Public at Risk

Listen Later

A recent Montana Board of Chiropractic meeting revealed alarming incompetence and bias as board members supported expanding scope to include Schedule IV drug prescribing—without understanding what those drugs are. One member admitted to Googling “Schedule IV” and remained unaware of included drugs like Xanax. Another dismissed valid concerns from the medical community, and shockingly minimized the dangers of short-term opioid use. The board's actions, driven by the Montana Chiropractic Association's agenda, raise serious concerns about regulatory capture. The Chiropractic Chronicle warns that public health is at risk and urges sweeping reforms before this reckless behavior causes real harm.
