Among the sacramentals of the Church, some which attract much attention, or perhaps raise the most eyebrows among those who do not understand them, are relics. 
The personal effects and earthly remains of the saints housed in golden shrines are indicative to us of the closeness of the heavenly kingdom, the nearness of the saints.
