718 is now the prefix in the names of Porsche's Boxster and its coupe, the new Cayman. The number 718 recalls Porsche's sports car with the 4-cylinder, midsized engine that had such racing success in the late 1950s.The 718 Cayman has a newly developed turbocharged 4-cylinder engine in two variants: 2 liters or 2-and-a-half liters displacement. We tested the 718 Cayman on a racetrack near Malmö, Sweden. Thanks to Launchcontrol, the car sprints from zero to 100 in 4.2 seconds.
