Eric Hemenway is an Anishnaabek/Odawa from Cross Village, Michigan, whose work centers around repatriation of remains and sacred objects under NAGPRA, as well as speaking and teaching about Native American history and culture. In this episode, Eric discusses the interconnectedness of his work and identity, the unique challenges of preserving Native American heritage, and the need for more education and awareness of the true history and popular culture of America in schools.
