In his State of the Union address, President Biden touted his administration’s accomplishments on everything from revitalizing the U.S. economy to protecting freedom and democracy to prioritizing Americans’ concerns over abortion rights and student loan debt. He highlighted his White House’s policy victories; however, ahead of 2024, many are still critical of his handling of foreign affairs in Afghanistan, Israel, and Ukraine and the chaotic crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. FOX News Audio Politcal Anchor Jared Halpern and FOX News Audio Political Analyst Josh Kraushaar joins the Rundown to break down whether President Biden successfully pitched his achievement to the American people, how his speech may have influenced those concerned about the President's age, and the counterpoints aired in Alabama Senator Katie Britt’s Republican response.

The 2024 Oscars are this Sunday, and it seems like no surprise to moviegoers and critics alike that the two movies that dominated the big screen this summer are up for a few of the "Big Five" categories. At the 96th Academy Awards, Barbie is one of ten movies nominated for Best Picture, with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer earning a nomination for Best Director. Although "Barbenheimer" remains a cultural phenomenon, John Jurgensen, Style News Desk reporter at the Wall Street Journal, joins the podcast to discuss which actors are likely to take home an Oscar, which films are expected to win, and the movie industry’s growing pains in the age of streaming.
