The view from Washington DC is not often the same as the view from the ground. This town has been run by major institutions for many decades. It is hard to tell when Washington was last run by "We The People." Most likely not in many of our lifetimes, except perhaps around the late treasured President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and the late gleaming light of President Ronald Reagan. But even then, this town was already overrun by the majors, leaving the grassroots on the outside, constantly mourning this sacred loss.
