ASUU embarked on a month warning strike on the 14thof February 2022 which has now been for a period of 75 days and counting. We always say students should make use of the strike periods to learn a skill or go into a business whenever there’s a strike, but when you think about it, why must there always be an unnecessary halt in the educational system every few months? Why should the Nigerian society tackle students who are on strike for being idle when education is a fundamental human right and should not be treated without regard. The strikes also give room for vices to grow such as prostitution and fraud amongst others.
