Before I married Jeanna, whenever I felt alone, I would think about my past girlfriends.
It happened when I moved to Dallas. When I first arrived, I didn't know anyone. In those lonely moments, I started thinking about a nurse I dated in college. Now our relationship didn't work at all. But in my loneliness I was willing to go back and try again.
But you can't go back. The only option is to move forward.
And I'm sure glad I did, because I met Jeanna.
The same is true for the Christian life. Once you're saved, you can't go back. The old you is gone. You are new in Jesus, equipped to live a life of faith, hope and love.
This is what he saved you for. So it's time to press on.
