Preventing Falls in the Hospital

Ms. Cullen and Ms. Gould will discuss: the evidence-based practice process for fall risk assessment in acute care; components of a hospital fall prevention program, including interventions for the most common activities associated with inpatient falls – mobility and elimination; the impact patient falls have on staff; and directions for the future in reducing risk of falls in acute care.
