Shahd Safi is an Arabic/English translator and teacher, freelance journalist, social media coordinator, and human rights advocate. She is from Gaza and is now in Cairo. She joins Yousef Aljamal, Helena Cobban and Tony Groves to talk about her journey out of Gaza and her experience of surviving Israel’s airstrikes which ended with her movement to safety in Egypt after she paid for her exit.
