Saturday is grand final day for the two-year olds with the running of the Amelia Park – Karrakatta Plate (1200m). Amelia’s Jewel is obviously the omen bet, racing for the sponsor Peter Walsh, the Siyouni filly is unbeaten in two starts and appeals as the best horse in the race. The setback is the draw. She is likely to start from barrier 15 and will need every ounce of luck on her side from the awkward draw. If there is to be an upset, then there is plenty of value about. Street Parade ($11), Left The Building ($8), Capricorn Man ($14) and Kosta’s Crown ($20) all look capable of upsetting the short-priced favourite.
