The third floor at historic Pickens Hall in Heuvelton will be transformed into a place to eat, drink and find out who done it this weekend. The Grasse River Players will present "The Tavern" by George M. Cohan - the man who composed “Yankee Doodle Dandy.” It's a melodrama-spoof-mystery with outrageous characters, boos and hisses from the audience, and old-fashioned handmade sound effects like thunder.
Performances are tonight and Saturday at 7 pm, and a Saturday afternoon performance at 3 pm. George M. Cohan songs will be performed at intermission.
Todd Moe caught up with cast member Morgan Hastings, and co-directors Carole Berard and Elaine Kuracina.
