Award-winning poet and writer Mary Karr will speak at SUNY Canton tonight at 6:30 pm as part of the Living Writers series.

Our book reviewer Betsy Kepes recently finished reading Karr’s newest publication, a book of poetry titled, Tropic of Squalor.

Betsy also did a bit of research and discovered that before Karr’s very popular memoir, The Liar’s Club, published in 1995, she’d written three books of poetry.
