A film that was so great, yet not given the cinema treatment, it is beyond deserving of. I am speaking of the surprisingly great film, that just revitalized an iconic monster in Predator, we are talking Prey directed by Dan Trachtenburg, starring our new favorite heroin in Alien based monster films next to Ripley from Alien, Amber Midthunder as Naru of the Comanche nation. This is by far one of the best monster sci fi films in a long time and it deserves all of its praise. I watched this film three times and loved every second of it. The predator was captivating and intimidating, the setting fit the aesthetic and the theme of hunter vs hunted. And who would have thought a sci-fi period piece was what we all needed in our lives to reintegrate the predator creature back into popularity. Alvin Jariel and myself discuss our new favorite sci fi film of the year!
