Some of you may know I have severe insomnia. One thing I learned over many years is that surrender is a key component of coping with insomnia. Instead of being frustrated that I can’t sleep, relaxing my body and surrendering my mind in wakefulness leaves me with much more energy and vitality.
This yoga nidra practice that Lakshmi Nair (Satya Yoga Collective for People of Color) and I created is a wonderful way of surrendering mind and body in a restful and gentle way. You will practice guided meditations including soothing visualizations, following your breath, and relaxation of your body, part by part..
