LGBTQ+ Pride has been enveloped by corporate sponsors and a focus on a few parties of young, able-bodied, wealthy queers. This has nothing to do with the origin of Pride or what it means to be a queer person living an out and proud life. This post offers ways to get back to the roots of pride: rebellion, bucking oppression, and making the world safer for all queer folks.
