Pride, Community, Belonging with Frank Carlisi

Listen Later

Frank Carlisi joins us this week to discuss Pride, acceptance, gratitude and using active listening to connect. Frank is a PR Professional, Event Planner, Executive Producer, Content Creator, and the Co-founder of ExV Agency.

In this episode, Frank shares his thoughts on Pride, what the event means to him and the community, and how he came to terms with coming out as a young adult. We talk about how working as a PR and being in charge of setting the tone of how someone or something is presented changed his own perception of human relationships.

We delve into our imperative need, as a society, to remain curious, open, and exchange perceptions willingly, to better understand each other. Frank also explored the idea of bridging the gaps between those who don't think alike by listening more carefully, finding common ground, and meeting there. He shared the story of the elevator pitch in an actual elevator and how he found protection and reassurance in fictional characters that inspired him when he was a child.
