Leviticus 8:1-36

Yahweh’s provision of priests is how sinful people can safely dwell before a holy God. What we find in this chapter is how ordinary, unholy, sinful people like Aaron and his sons go from not-priest to priest. The transition is one that’s all of grace. And while this ordination ceremony seems highly irrelevant to our daily lives, it’s actually the opposite because of what the New Testament says about us as priests to God. It truly is good news that common, unholy, sinful people can become a cleansed, purified, holy priesthood!
