1 Corinthians 10:31 tells believers that everything we do should be to glorify God, including our eating and drinking. Because eating and drinking are specifically mentioned, then it is important for us to understand how to do this. Following the verse that most people know, Paul goes on to explain that we should not give offense to Jews, Gentiles, or the church of God. And then he summarizes the concept of glorifying God by saying that his goal is to seek the good of others in everything so that they may be led to God in salvation. With those concepts at the root of glorifying God in our food and drink, we then understand that glorifying God includes the WHAT, the HOW, and the WHY of our eating and drinking.
