Visitors can watch and participate in the process of flint knapping (the ancient art of making chipped stone tools), fire making, cordage making, atlatl spear throwing and early archery. There will be displays of projectile points, tools, and local archaeological finds from the Museum’s archaeology department. Think you've found an artifact? Please bring it with you and the Museum’s experts will be glad to try to identify it for you.

to mostly sunny with a mild afternoon. Although most of the area
will stay dry, a stray shower can`t be ruled out over the
Adirondacks. Dry and slightly cooler weather is expected on Sunday
before a cold front brings cloudy weather with some showers for
Monday.
Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 67. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Light west wind.
