On this week's show, we tell share a trio of stories that have a foot in two racing worlds.  In the A Block, we learn about pioneer racer and journalist Pete Craig.  In the B Block, we look at NASCAR's Speedway Division, a 1952 attempt by Bill France, Sr. to break into Open Wheel racing.  And in the C Block, we look back at the AAA National Champ Car races that were held at Darlington Raceway in the early 50s.

On this week's show, we stop to remember our late friend and colleague Pete McCole, using a mixture of his own voice, the recollections of several of his friends in the sport, and our own stories.  It's a special program that track's Pete's life in racing from his beginnings in sim racing to his work first as a photographer and then as a reporter from tracks and speedways around the NASCAR and NHRA circuits.  It's a celebration of Pete McCole's racing life, and a celebration of him as a reporter, a person, and a friend.

On this week's show, we tell share three different and unique stories from racing's history.  In the A Block, we share the racing life of Georgia Racing Hall of Famer Harold Kite.  In the B Block, we travel back to 1952 for a look at how the NASCAR Cup Series season played out - with a Hollywood ending.  And in the C Block, host Brandon Reed tells how an impromptu trip to Daytona Beach in 1996 resulted in an unforgettable story.

This week's show brings back a popular feature from a previous program that was done by host Brandon Reed, former racing journalist Pete McCole, and Frontstretch.com editor Amy Henderson.  It's what we call a "Retro Replay", as our intrepid trio team up to look at the television broadcast of a historic race - in this case, ABC Sports coverage of the 1971 Indianapolis 500.  This broadcast marked the first time ABC would provide same day, tape delayed coverage of the 500 in prime time - something that would become a staple of the event for the next 15 years.  It's a great little time capsule, and we hope you enjoy our look at it.

This week's show is a little different than what we have brought you in the previous weeks, as host Brandon Reed will explain in the intro.  This week, we step away from our normal programming to bring you a presentation from the recent Monsterama Monster and Horror movie convention in Atlanta, Georgia.  Brandon is joined by Mark Maddox and Clay Sayre and a room full of enthusiasts to talk about "High Speed Horror" - that being thriller and horror films featuring cars as the protagonist.  That includes "Duel" from 1971, "Crash!" from 1977, "The Car" from 1977, and "Christine" from 1983.  And even "Killdozer" gets a mention!

On this week's show, we tell the stories of three Lost Race Tracks.  In the A Block, we tell the story of Georgia's Gainesville-Looper Speedway, which now sits at the bottom of the biggest lake in the state.  In the B Block, we travel to the Sunshine State for a look at the short but colorful history of the Walt Disney World Speedway.  And in the C Block, we head out west to California for a look at the greatest race track to never succeed, the Ontario Motor Speedway.

On this week's show, we tell the stories of three NASCAR heroes that are Larger Than Life - or, more accurately, we tell stories that show why these three are Larger Than Life.  In the A Block, we talk about NASCAR Hall of Famer Buddy Baker, and tell some a few of the stories that are part of the legend of the Gentle Giant.  Then in the B Block, we examine the career of Tiny Lund, a hero who deserves to be nominated for the NASCAR Hall of Fame but as of this airing isn't, and we'll tell some of the stories that shows why he SHOULD be considered for the HOF.  Finally, in the C Block, we share some of the best stories in racing history as we look at one of the sport's first true folk heroes, NASCAR Hall of Famer Curtis Turner.

On this week's show, we take a look at a trio of rare, odd, and downright unusual race cars that have hit the track in the past.  In the A Block, we talk about the Tucker 48 that was entered in NASCAR competition with North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame historian Bob Hissom.  In the B Block, it's off to Indianapolis in 1948 for a look at Pat Clancy's six-wheeled racer.  Then in the C Block, we talk to racing historian Cody Dinsmore about the rare 1940 Graham-Paige Hollywood that was driven in 1941 in stock car competition by Bill France, Sr. and owned by Raymond Parks.

On this week's show, we travel to Eastaboga, Alabama for a trio of stories from the high banks of Talladega Superspeedway.  In the A Block, we talk about some of the strange and downright weird going on at the track.  Could the cause be a curse put on the track by pioneer racer Fonty Flock?  In the B Block, we look at the strife filled opening weekend at 1969, as Bill France, Sr. and the Professional Driver's Association butted heads over racing conditions.  And in the C Block, it's a look back at one of the most incredible come from behind races of all time, Bill Elliott's win in the 1985 Winston 500.

In part two of this two part story, Brandon Reed takes us back to Atlanta's Lakewood Speedway on Labor Day, September 2, 1946 for the AAA National Championship Cars event.  We meet T.C. Chambers, a first hand witness of that race that ended in tragedy, with a moment by moment account of the accident, followed by a look at the aftermath of the event.
