I have always preached the conservative Baptist party line. Men are to be in charge and women are to obey. That has made less sense to me as I have matured. I see that Paul put the Roman letter in Phoebe's hands. I see that many women were praised for their contributions to the gospel. I see that they were treated greater than mere by-standers. I believe the Bible, but I have a new understanding of women in service to the Lord.
