Prison Bag

We have to be tough to wait out this time. In prison we count in seasons. There are just too many days and weeks and months.

I’m so very tired now and I think I’m running out of time. There’s a clock on the wall, but it has no hands.

I feel imprisoned by domesticity. I want to be a woman, not just a mother. God I need a shag.

I used to think that people were really selfish to go and try to kill themselves, but I get it. The longer I spent time in that cell, it seemed like a great option.

All of the layers of safety I had as a child kind of went. That safety net that I had was just gone. And it was so scary.

This woman married the criminal and benefited from the proceeds of crime. She should be thankful not to be in prison herself.

"There’s phone calls but if you miss them, then you can’t call back, he can only call you, so its really upsetting when you miss a call."
