You may have heard of the term P-O-W, which means “Prisoner of War” but have you heard of the term P-O-F? POF stands for Prisoner of Fear.

I knew someone who was a POF before he met Christ. His name was Billy, and he was absolutely riddled with fear and anxiety. He was afraid to make a wrong decision, so he seldom made any decision. He was always thinking worst-case scenario. His bondage to fear was ruling his life. Then, one day, Billy came to know Jesus in a personal way. He read Psalm 23:4 in the Bible, which says, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” And he clung to that promise. Slowly, but surely, Billy’s bondage to fear was broken. He was no longer a prisoner.

This is the amazing power of Christ. He is the One who can liberate us from any kind of bondage, and free us from all of our fears.
