Every major city was brought to a standstill yesterday, after thousands of pro Palestinian protesters marched in one of the largest nationwide rallies to date. Organisers estimate around 350,000 activists joined in, though police say the number was far lower. The heightened tensions come just two weeks after the Albanese Government announced plans to recognise the state of Palestine.
