Proactive behavior refers to behavior that aims to act in advance of a possible event rather than react after the event has happened. Proactive refers to you taking control and making things happen rather than just waiting for a situation, adjusting to a situation, or waiting for something to happen.

Preparing for a successful professional Medical Assisting Career requires that you set yourself apart from the crowd and dare to be different. The difference between a successful career minded professional medical assistant and I just want a job any job medical assistant is a professional mindset, purpose driven attitude and a dedicated career vision. Simply put the major difference is planning, purposeful preparation that creates the circumstances of a successful career and it should begin when you are a student! Age has no bearing, weather 18 or 50 years old.
